£1200 Payment

Just watched “Tonight” program on ITV1 about hidden disabilities. At the end of the program the narrator says “In addition to the £1200 there will be a £150 top-up for disabled people. I’m not sure she’s correct as I think the £150 is included in the £1200.

£326 (received)
£324 (Autumn)
£150 (September) *disability payment*
£400 (October) *energy credit)

= £1200

Am I correct or is she correct in what she said?

    Disability Cost of Living Payment

    You may get a lump sum payment of £150 if you’re getting any of the following:

    • Attendance Allowance
    • Constant Attendance Allowance
    • Disability Living Allowance for adults
    • Disability Living Allowance for children
    • Personal Independence Payment
    • Adult Disability Payment (in Scotland)
    • Child Disability Payment (in Scotland)
    • Armed Forces Independence Payment
    • War Pension Mobility Supplement

    Eligibility

    You must have received a payment (or later receive a payment) of one of these qualifying benefits for 25 May 2022 to get the payment.

    If you get a qualifying disability benefit from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and a qualifying disability benefit from DWP, you will get a Disability Cost of Living Payment from DWP only.

    If you receive a Disability Cost of Living Payment, but we later find that you were not eligible for it, you may have to pay it back.

    When you’ll get paid

    You’ll get the payment from September 2022. Payments will be made to people who get a qualifying disability from DWP before payments to people who get a qualifying benefit from the Ministry of Defence.

    She is correct. 🙂 but your sum is correct too, you’ve included the £150 disability payment in your £1200.

    No, there’s 1 payment which is in September.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.

    So she’s wrong then as she said (as I wrote in my initial question) that there will be a payment of £1200 PLUS *an additional* payment of £150
