Just wondering anyone can advise me.
Im currently in a joint UC claim I am my partners cater and work part time my partner can’t work and receives LWCRA I have done an application for 30 free hours child care as I work and I’m a cater however I have been declined as my partner does not receive ESA but have been advised LWCRA is UC equivalent of ESA?
any advise would be extremely great full

Your partner would need to be in receipt of either New style ESA or Contributions based ESA. UC LCWRA is not part of the criteria listed here.0

Is he eligible for ESA and UC at the same time?0

New style ESA can only be claimed if he's paid the correct amount of NI contributions from working in tax years April 2019 to March 2021.

And this can be claimed with UC?0

Yes but it's deducted in full from any UC entitlement. He can check his NI contributions here. https://www.gov.uk/check-national-insurance-record he will need class 1 if he was PAYE or class 2 if he was self employed.
