Whether it's possible to claim DLA for your child will depend on how their conditions affect them. You need to prove they have more care and attention needs than that of a child the same age who doesn't have a disability. Please don't compare your child to someone elses. No one knows how a persons conditions affect them exactly. A person working that amount of hours makes no difference to a disability benefit claim. If you disagree with the decision you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) you need to put this in writing stating why you disagree with the decision and why you think your child should be awarded DLA.You may also want to get some expert advice from an agency near you. Start here. https://advicelocal.uk/The most likely outcome of the MR will be the decision stays the same. If this happens you can proceed to Tribunal.
