1st time experiencing chronic pain & unsettled

So I have been experiencing chronic pain now for maybe 6 months. My GP’s think this could be related to my mood disorders but I know my research team at the NEAD clinic said people with non epileptic seizures can experience chronic pain and that can also come under the FND umbrella.

However, regardless of the cause I am experiencing chronic pain in my neck (possibly due to tics and seizures), in my back, in my left hip, my legs and general all around body aches and pains.

The pain recently has become so severe I’m considering whether a visit to A&E would be worthwhile (I’m probably wasting my time!).

I am under physio for chronic pain management but so far it isn’t working. Does anyone have any suggestions? Been through a similar experience and what alleviated the pain?

    Hi @bluefox :)

I'm sorry to hear that you've been affected by chronic pain over the past 6 months. It can be especially difficult when you're not sure what's causing it. I hope that a member who's been through this will find and comment on your post soon.

How are your pain levels today? Did you go to A&E in the end?

No, I spoke to my doctor and they’re going to check my creatine kinase levels apparently.

It seems positive that they're doing some further investigation @bluefox :) How are you feeling about having that tested?

I’m not sure tbh. I’m a bit nervous as my voice keeps going really hoarse too due to my fatigue. I’m getting really worried that I have cancer.

That sounds really worrying @bluefox. Hopefully, your doctor will be able to help.

In the meantime, please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to help. We'll at least listen if you want to talk this through further with us  :)
