Hi I’ve been on U C since December after becoming I’ll. I’ve been sending in sicknotes since December and I was awarded LCWRA today 12th of September. I don’t understand the 3 month waiting period or it hasn’t been explained if my U C stops and LCWRA payments start or what I will be getting as I’m due to be payed my U C on the 23rd Will this be stopped now …. Any help will be appreciated as I’m new to all this thank you

LCWRA is part of UC, not separate. The LCWRA increases your UC entitlement. The increase should be backdated to your 4th payment (presumably in April or May depending on when you first claimed).
Your next UC payment should include the extra for that month. When your next UC statement appears on your UC journal check to see that the LCWRA element has been added, if not raise a query.
The arrears will be paid separately but can take several weeks for DWP to work out.1 -
Thank you for your reply, that’s a relief I thought I’d have to wait 3 months for any money .calcotti said:LCWRA is part of UC, not separate. The LCWRA increases your UC entitlement. the three month wait is from when you reported the health condition provided you did so with supporting Fit Notes.
