Hi all, Thank you for adding me to your group. I live with fibromyalgia and need some advice on finding an office chair which will ease back and neck pain.

Welcome to the community @tb152 It's great to have you on board!
Just to let you know, I've moved your post into our aids, adaptations, and equipment category.
I don't have any personal recommendations for chairs, but I'm hoping someone else might. What kind of specifications do you think the chair would need? For example, where might it be most helpful for the chair to be supportive?
Do you mind me asking whether this is for a job you have? If so, your employer may be able to support you with this. -
Hi Tori. That's not a problem at all! I work in an office (Mind) and am mainly sitting throughout the day. They are more than willing to make adaptations and adjustments, but we all want to ensure that the chair is the best possible solution. I experience pain throughout my body due to fibromyalgia. In particular, this affects my neck and lower back, as well as wrists and hands. We are thinking of opting for a mesh chair, but it would be nice to hear what other's may think. Many thanks!

No problem @TB152 Have you had an assessment from an occupational therapist at all? I'm wondering whether that could help you identify what kind of chair you might need?

I've completed a DSE assessment and am working with our HR personnel to look at various options.

Great @tb152 My office chair isn't a specialist one, but I got it through completing a DSE assessment too.
