I've been awarded PIP. Are there any disability premiums I could receive?

No1 gets carers for me so wondered how I go about it please and also if it gets backdated 🙏 I also recieve support group ESA (contribution based) if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.
Thankyou x

If your ESA is contribution based only then there are no additional premiums to be added, they only apply to income based ESA.

To be clear, are you on new style ESA or the old type of ESA. If the latter, do you have other finances that are limiting your ESA award to a contribution based award only?

This looks like contribution based which as advised no disability premiums are given. How long have you been claiming ESA?

Ok thankyou very much for the advise, since April and recently got my backdated pip. Would we be entitled to anything else? Xx

If you only claimed in April it is new style ESA and there are no premiums applicable. (Ridiculous that the letter refers to income based ESA and that isn’t applicable.)

Have you had a Work Capability Assessment yet?

Do you rent and/or live with a partner?

Wasn’t clear whether you meant that you have had a WCA yet. If so have you had a decision.

The only other benefit you can look at is Universal Credit but that would be a joint claim which would take into account your joint circumstances (if you are living together). You could use a benefits calculator to assess entitlement.
