Hi, I am a carer of a child with disabilities. I have worked part time but he is a little older now and I'm doing a course so I can do some freelance work from home and earn some extra money. I'm on legacy benefits currently. My issue is that once I start freelance the money I get will be irregular and not a fixed salary. I may not get anything for the first six months or so until things get going. How do I manage this with benefits. I can't afford for them to stop my benefits as I don't know how much I will earn or when it will come in. Someone suggested setting up a limited company and then taking a salary once it has built up a bit.. is that allowed?
