Hi thankyou for having me . I’m about to apply for a ehcp for my daughter , her nursery (where she has only been a few months) recommended to me a mainstream school. which i said i haven’t yet thought ahead of school etc. but i explained i’m looking at a special needs school (sorry if i said this wrong) Anyway portage recommended they do her EHCP - can i just do this myself as i feel they will miss out all the important parts esp as it’s her 3rd nursery (as she is not coping in settlings due to her sensory overload & meltdowns) & i feel also this needs to be mentioned . thankyou she has autism & sensory overload ., speech delay , & social interaction problems

Hi @kar34 welcome to the forum. Sorry to read your daughter is not settling at nursery. Have you had a look in your area to see what schools may be available?  I hope you manage to find one that you prefer.
