Hello all I stumbled on to this page a few days ago and have found it really helpful. I am new to all this and had a question regarding Pip. I Sent my forms off in the beginning of August and had a phone call out of the blue two days ago saying they needed to ask me a few questions before I have ab assessment, but at the end of the phone call I asked will I get a letter to say when my assessment is and she replied that the whole point of our phone call was so hopefully I won't need an assessment and that she is filling out a report and sending it to dwp. Has this happend to anyone else? I'm a bit confused. Any help will be much appreciated thank you.

It sounds as if they consider they have enough information, having clarified a couple of things with you, to complete a 'paper based' assessment and prepare a report without an assessment appointment with you. It does happen. You can draw no conclusion from that.0

Welcome to the community @ms_mam
Yes, it can all be a bit confusing! We've heard other members say similar things before, so you're not the only one.
How are you feeling about your claim?0 -
Thank you for having me @Tori_Scope Am I ment to receive a text to say they have received my report? I haven't heard anything yet. And I have seen on here people getting texts with in days to say they have received their reports.0

They often send a text once the report is returned if you gave a mobile number. As you haven't heard anything yet they either didn't have enough of information to write the report after the phone call and an assessment by either phone, video call or face to face is needed.Or your report was written and sent to audit. If this has happened there's nothing for you to worry about. It means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. Once the audit is completed the report will be returned to DWP. There's no timescales how long the report will remain in the audit.0

@poppy123456 thank you for replying was confused as to why I have not received a text hopefully its in audit and I will hear something soon. I will keep you updated0

@poppy123456 do you know how long it takes for the DWP to let you know once they have had it back from audit?0

Once the report is returned it takes up to 12 weeks, sometimes longer for a decision.
