Hello, My name is Tammy. I suffer with Fybromyalga, severe back pain, osteoarthritis and Hyper mobility  syndrome. My day to day life is constant pain. Pain killers don't  seem to help. I recently broke my foot in 4 places and now in a wheelchair. It can become very lonely sitting in the home alone watching your family getting on with there own life's so I decided to look for groups out there where others may understand  how you feel.

Welcome to the community @xtammyx :)

Thank you for joining us! We have many members here who live with chronic pain, so you're in good company. Have you spoken to your doctor about the pain medication not quite working as well as you might have hoped?

Chronic pain is extremely difficult to live with but with the right support from your GP, OT or whoever you see can help.

I was referred to pain management team via my GP and I must say it has been a Godsend as they work closely with my GP and advice meds, relaxing techniques etc

My skin is so sensitive at times I can't even bare the water from a shower hitting it as it is agony and literally has me screaming in agony, I happened to mention this to my pain management team and they got in touch with GP who arranged for an  OT to carry out an assessment and I was given a bath lift.

I find having a bath is relaxing for me and helps my joints.

I just could not get in because of pain and physical restrictions so a bath lift has been a blessing and I'm so grateful for it.

Maybe you could ask your GP to refer you to a pain management team in your area.

My pain management is all done by zoom meetings online. In my group their is about 6 of us all with similar health conditions.
