I told my doctor through message that im waiting a WCA on my fit note request. Could my doctor refuse fit notes he no's i struggle and has prescribed medication for nerve pain. I also read that dwp may tell my doctor is that correct i did allow it on form

Good morning @salty1212334 hope your well this morning.
Sorry i don't know what WCA is and i am not one of the people that know all there is to know on these matters, hopefully they will pick up on your question but at the moment the site is having problems with notifications.
When i applied for New style ESA i had to send Doctors notes for months, but as i had to have the notes for over a year with work it made no difference to me. My notes were for 2 months at a time.0 -
You need to supply continuous Fit Notes until you have a decision on your WCA status.
You doctor must supply Fit Notes (unless they think they are not medically justified).
DWP or the assessor may contact your doctor for information but rarely do.0 -
Hi thank you both i have to wait until my fit note runs out to get another but it can take 2 days to here back from my doctor.my fit note runs out 25th i have a appointment 26th at 10am if i attend my appointment will it start this process all over again. I missed my appointment last month as my phone dont hold charge and i was unsure whether my doctor would call or text. I told my advisor at jobcentre through my journal and he said it was going to a decision maker i never heard nothing back0

Can you contact your GP before the fit note runs out to ask them for another, they will then be able to give you that fit note in time for the current one to end. They will know the end date of the current one.

Hi poppy i phoned a day before it ran out last time the receptionist said i have to call the day it runs out. My GP dont phone me about anything i ordered my medication from pod yesterday he left them a message asking how many tablets i take a day could he not contact me to ask that. some days im in a lot more pain so i take 2 tablets instead of 1 it says on packet 1 or 2 tablets a day. I keep running out of medication because of it as i assume i can only order tablets once a month or can i phone pod before i run out there only antidepressants for nerve pain and headaches. I feel like i have a constant stitch in my chest no meds for 4 to 5 days isn't good0

I take it u cannot answer my question about medication i will request phone call on my next fit note request and speak to my doctor thanks for previous advice. what i would really like to no is if i attended my appointment will it start process all over again i think my advisor wants to talk to me i spoke to my coach from jobs22 he said if i continue to supply fit notes my advisor from dwp can do something for me. He said something about a payment but i don't want to go if it will start lcwra assessment all over again. im stuck in a pickle if i dont go they will sanction me if i do go it might start process all over again. I don't no why my advisor keeps making appointment next day after fit note runs out i messaged last time and told my advisor i had to wait 2 days for new fit note he said he no's how the process works. My appointment is 10am as well i no my doctor will not call by then there a small GP surgery theres only 3 rooms and there really busy other people have told me to change GP surgery0

Attending a work coach appt won't start the process off again
Until a decision has been made you are classed as a job seeker and need to attend appt as well as provide continuous fit notes
Your work coach can turn off your appointments bur it is their discretion to do so0 -

Are you able to ask your GP for a longer fit note? I see from another thread that it’s only 3 weeks since you last asked about a fit note. It must be very frustrating for you to have to continue to request those fit notes every month.Regarding your medication, you need to speak to your GP because I can’t advise on that.0
