Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Im just agter some afvice off anyone really that may know or could help.
I applied for PIP on the 6th of August this year and i had my telephone assessment on the 7th October which i think went well apart from finding it hard to talk some times but that is due to the medication i am on. I received a text message on the 10th October saying that the DWP has received the report and now im obviously awaiting what they say, but is there any way i could ring and find out whats happening, or is there any thing else i can do. This is the forst time i have applied for PIP. I didnt know anything about it until my advisor at the job centre told.me to apply for it.

It can take up to 12 weeks to get a decision from when DWP get the report. You can request a copy of the report from DWP but many people find it stressful reading the report.
in general you just have to wait until a decision is made,0 -
Ok well thank you for the reply, i will just have to sit tight then. Its a very lengthy process to go through and its quite stressful0
-
In all honesty you only applied about 11 weeks ago so that's not long at all compared to a lot of other here.

@poppy123456 i totally understand that and i greatly appreciate that it seems quick but i have never done this before so just wanted some advice0
-
That's alright @MissLilac89 you're very welcome to advice
As mentioned, you may be in for quite a wait, so if it becomes a struggle, it's best to try and take your mind off it by focusing on doing things you enjoy, or spending time with loved ones, if that helps.
How did you find the assessment?
If you have any questions in the meantime please ask, as we are here to support you!
