hi I’m in need of some advice . I’ve been of sick for 10 months due to my disability. I asked for a reasonable adjustment to help me back into work . However my employer put through a OHS . I did do the assessment with OHS and they signed me of my current role . I made a couple i suggestions to ohs on roles I could do in the company. Recently I had a meeting with my employer. She didn’t agree on giving me the adjustments o suggested. Made out it was nt suitable for my condition and part of another role . She only offered me one role in the and I made a suggestion on another . However I’m unsure now if that was the right thing to say and also I have a week to decide on these two roles which one to do in order to keep my job . Which I’m finding unfair as it’s forcing me to resign if I don’t agree with both . I’m not sure what I should do or if I should ask my dr if it’s right as it’s not what my ohs report suggests me to do . Any advice . Sorry I can’t say the roles keeping confidential.

Hi and welcome to the community

As they have offered alternative roles I would suggest you give them a try . Could you ask to try them on a trial basis to see how you get on

Oh assessments are only a recommendation they company don't have to take up all the recommendation if they don't fit with roles available

They are not obliged to create a new role but to make adjustments in order for you to complete the role

I would not recommend you resign look at the company medical dismissal policy as some ppay compensation if it comes to you having to leave
