Does anyone know if pip affects the amount of universal credit you get?

Does anyone know if pip affects the amount of universal credit you get? I get enhanced both components my work coach said it may affect the amount I get on UC but he was unsure ?

    Your work coach is incorrect. PIP is not taken in to account.

    As bg844 has said, it shouldn't affect your UC. Did they mention whether they meant that they thought you might be entitled to LCWRA?

    In some cases PIP could increase your UC entitlement. If you have non dependants living with you you would normally be expected to contribute towards your rent an award of PIP would mean that they are no longer required to do so. Also if you are single and below 35 your LHA maximum amount would increase from the shared room rate to the one bedroom rate.
