50% off vehicle tax

ChiChi

Hi, please can someone tell me how I need to do it. I spoke with someone at the Post Office and they advised me that they only deal with the full tax discount.

Thank you

You need to send all your documents to DVLA, there’s no other way of doing this. Full details here https://www.disabledmotoring.org/motoring/road-tax-50-reduction

Thank you Calcotti

I think that it is appalling that this cannot be done on-line.

To obtain a full discount - The technology to do this - exists - but a disabled person has to make a trip (in my case a 20 mile round trip) to a post office to change a cars tax class !
