Hi so I've just called pip asking to see whether or not my decision has been made he told me that my case was assigned to a case manager on the 24th October and it can take up to three weeks for them to make a decision but then he said make sure I keep an eye on my bank and for a letter after that but all seems good. What does that mean?

‘Seems good’ means very little. The person you spoke to cannot know in advance what the Decision Maker will decide.0
-
It just means exactly what you were advised because if awarded payment is usually received before the decision letter. It doesn’t mean a decision has been made. If awarded successfully they usually send a text message.0

Awesome thank you @calcotti @poppy1234560

I know you received a copy of the report which didn’t recommend enough points needed for an award. They do mostly go with it but it has been known for them to go against it but it’s rare they do this.0

@poppy123456 yeah that's what I was thinking aswell. I don't really want to get my hopes up to be honest. I mean my partner had all ticks at the top meaning zero points for everything on his pip report but then scored 4 points so hopefully in this rare case I might get awarded or maybe not that's the downfall off waiting with anxiaty0

It sounds really difficult waiting with anxiety @jamieleehill92. Would anything, in particular, help this to feel more manageable for you at the moment?
I have noticed that you have said it is what you were thinking as well and you don't really want to get your hopes up.
If we can do anything to help, please don't hesitate to let us know. We are all here for you and listening to you0 -
@L_Volunteer I don't think there's anything you can do to help apart from be there for support with words I guess. I've been trying to get on pip from 2014 and this is my third time now applying and I've actually scored points this time. I'm fighting my pip claim from 2021 still just waiting on information from dial to see if there was an error in law with my tribunal refusal and I'm waiting on a new claim from pip from this year for the decision on that one. I've been suffering with severe depression from a very young age and anxiaty is getting worse. I struggle with back pain and I've got a very bad right foot that I cannot walk on and doctors think I got a condition called sinus tarsi syndrome. I also struggle on my left foot and I'm very unbalanced on my feet. I have an appointment with orphotics in November. I also have alopecia areata and eczema and asthma.0

@L_Volunteer @poppy123456 hi so I've just called to see if there's been a decision yet she told me I could be waiting up to 8 weeks because they might ask for more information but she then said I'll receive a text when the letters on its way. I'm confused I diddnt think u get text when they have sent a decision out0

I'm confused I diddnt think u get text when they have sent a decision outI'm not aware of them sending a text unless there's an award. Remember when you ring PIP you are speaking to someone from a call centre. They very rarely contact anyone for any evidence so please don't expect that to happen. As you know the decision can take up to 12 weeks, rather than 8 weeks they seem to insist on telling everyone.I know you're anxious but please try to concentrate on something else while you wait.0

@poppy123456 okay thanks and I'll try. It's just frustrating waiting 😕0
-
Yes i totally agree but ringing them often like this isn't going to help your anxiety.jamieleehill92 said:I've been trying to get on pip from 2014 and this is my third time now applyingThere are some people who have health conditions but don't quailfy for PIP because if you don't meet the descriptors you won't score the pionts needed for an award. You can have a health condition but not be entitled to PIP.0

@poppy123456 I'll speak to DIAL about it and see what they say thank you0
