hi hi I have been diagnosed with dercums disease which has change my life so much it has changed my mobility so much . I have applied for pip assistance. But I’m not sure if anyone else has Dercums if they have applied for pip assistance. It’s very rare would be nice to meet someone else that has it that I can talk to ☘️

As advised, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is awarded not by diagnosis, but rather how your condition impacts your functional ability to complete the PIP descriptors. Here's Scope's online guidance around PIP for your information but if anything remains confusing, please just say and we'll try to help.
I'm sorry to hear your mobility has been particularly affected by Dercum's disease. We did have another user who was awaiting diagnosis of the same condition join us last year, if you want to say hello on their welcome thread.
Whilst, I wondered if you'd visited the Dercum's society website. Although the founder is based in the USA, it might have some useful snippets of information to help you manage.
