@emmacatefawcett Hello there and a warm welcome to our online community, how are you doing today?
Before you apply for PIP, it's worth checking you believe you will get sufficient points to warrant an award. Here's a link to Citizens Advice table of Activities, descriptors and points. You need to score 8 points minimum in either the daily living or mobility activities to be successful. PIP isn't awarded based on diagnosis, but how your condition[s] impact your ability to complete the listed descriptors.
If you want help filling in your form, you can find an independent local organisation to help you by visiting the Advice Local website entering your postcode and selecting 'welfare benefits' from the drop down list.
Alternatively, if you want to do it yourself, remember to provide 2/3 detailed accounts of the last time you tried one of the PIP activities, including who was there, where it happened, what the activity was, what your difficulties were and how others had to assist you to complete the task reliably. Remembering that unless you can carry out an activity reliably, that is safely, to an acceptable standard, repeatedly and in reasonable time then a particular descriptor can't be satisfied.
Please let us know if you have any other questions and good luck with the process.0
