Hi All

Well we are really struggling at the moment! Daughter is still declining she's had a bug for the last 5 days, It has really floored her.
On top of that my younger brother took poorly and suddenly passed away.

I have called the PIP today to see how they are progressing as she desperately needs the physical help. The lady said it is still with the decision maker and that she should hear something soon by way of letter in the post?
Well this has set my mind in overdrive! (Perhaps reading too much into it)
I am now thinking as she said she will receive a letter does this mean she has been unsuccessful????

She is desperate for help, I will give as much as a I can I now have a funeral to arrange etc and worry that she is going to struggle.

    Sorry for your loss!
The person you spoke to at PIP was correct, once the decision is made your daughter will receive the decision letter, it doesn't mean anything other than this.
Decision timescales are 2-12 weeks sometime longer from when the assessment report was returned to DWP.

Whatever the outcome she will get a letter confirming the decision.

I'm really sorry to hear about your brother @jf53. How are you all coping?

Cruse are there for you, if you feel you need someone to talk to.

As the others have said, she'd receive a letter either way, so that's nothing to worry about :)

Hello again @JF53, I'm also sorry to hear about your brother :( As Tori has mentioned, do have a look at Cruse if it's helpful.

Please rest assured the letter will come through, and we'll be here to support you with your next steps whatever the outcome.
