Cost of Living payment as a carer?

Hey all, bit lost off with all of the conflicting information surrounding the CoL payment due this month. I am a full time carer and receive the standard Carers Allowance plus the UC Carers Element top up - they come in as separate payments, one labelled CA and the other UC, and I get payment statements via my UC account. From everything I have read, the payment is applicable to those receiving a means tested benefit such as UC which I am in receipt of, but at the same time the DWP confirmed that Carers will not receive the CoL payment - does that statement only apply to those who are in receipt of CA on it's own, and not the UC top up? Any information is appreciated, thankyou.

Yes, exactly. Those that are just claiming CA will not be entitled to the payment. If you received a payment of UC for an assessment period that ended between 26th August and 25th September you will be entitled to the £324.db93 said:at the same time the DWP confirmed that Carers will not receive the CoL payment - does that statement only apply to those who are in receipt of CA on it's own,

Welcome to the community @db93
It can certainly be quite confusing, can't it? I hope that poppy123456's comment has helped to put your mind at rest. Please do let us know if there's anything you're still unsure about.
