SDP is a disability premium paid on top of the old Income Related benefits, such as ESA/JSA and Income Support. If your ESA is New style ESA then you can't claim SDP with this. If your ESA claim started after Dec 2018 then it's very likely to be New style.

@ poppy123456
i get the old legacy esa support group benefits0 -
@ poppy123456
is sdp paid automatically or will i need to make a separate claim ?0 -
It is not automatically paid because of the criteria. You must live alone or be classed as living alone. If you live with other adults they must also be claiming a qualifying disability benefit or be registered blind. If this applies you need to ring ESA and ask to fill out the IS10 form over the phone.

Have you managed to ring them yet? If so, I am just wondering if you would like to share a little more with us about how it has gone for you.
