Hi all. A friend claims child dla and was due to have it renewed but missed the due date and sent in form late. They were refused. Can they put in a mandatory reconsideration or appeal re this due to a genuine mistake.

Were they refused because they returned the form late or just refused DLA award?

Being in hospital for a few days sounds really difficult @ricky1040. How is everything at the moment?
Hopefully, she will be able to get it sorted out soon. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support
