End assessments and consider disability benefit claims on medical advice alone

The Government should remove the requirement for people claiming disability benefits, such as the Personal Independence Payment (PIP), to have to go through an assessment process. Claims should be based solely on evidence from medical professionals, such as a letter from a GP or consultant.

This isn't a new one, it's been posted on the forum quite a few times. I won't be signing it i'm afraid letters from GP's and some other medical professionals aren't the best evidence to send because they don't spend any time with you to see how you manage the acitivities related to PIP.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

I won`t be signing it; if medical records were the basis for an award I wouldn`t be receiving PIP now.
