What video game/games are you playing?
I'm playing Gun on the PS2 at the moment, it's a third person shooter with a little bit of first person shooting, a Western, cowboys, Indians, you can ride horses and it's kind of sandboxy, it seems like a similar game to the Red Dead Redemption games, it's a really well made game and I'm finding it to be quite fun which is strange because I don't enjoy watching Westerns at all.

I have a PS5, just have to upgrade the tv to 65inch running 120 frames a second at some point. I mainly stick with F1, FC25, Gran Tourismo and surprisingly Forza Horizon 5. I don’t have the mental concentration for first player games, I’d just sit there scratching my head and mashing buttons.

I'm not into westerns either @Ross1975 but i am revisiting Read Dead 2.
I played Arthur as a villain, so i ended up with the low honour ending. Going to play again and try to get the high honour ending.
It's a great game. Big map and lots of things to do.

Ooh I do love a gaming discussion and I'm seeing some great games mentioned already. ❤️
I've not had much gaming time recently, but I was really getting into Two Point Museum, a very easy going game with lovely humour. Also I've just started Clair Obscur; Expedition 33, which I'm definitely falling in love with, even if I am really rubbish at dodging and blocking right now.
I'll be sofa/bed bound for two weeks as of next week, so I've installed The Last of Us 2 Remastered and Red Red Redemption 2. I reckon those two will keep me occupied for a while. 😁 If you can think of any other in depth, narrative driven games for the PS5, Xbox Series X or Steamdeck, I'm all ears.1 -
That's awesome. I like the original hardware too. I remember those systems.
Back in the day I had an Acorn Electron and then an Atari 800XL, most other people at the time had ZX Spectrum's and Commodore 64's.

Oh James Pond was a game changer for me, I loved that style so much.

Anyone use a CRT for the oldskool games? I have a 14 inch Matsui from around 1998 that I use since standard definition games look their best on a CRT.
I also have a few other CRT's, but some of them need to be repaired.

i have an acorn electron, had it as a child, my fav game was hopper, no one could get near my high score, still got it somewhere.
but i dip in and out on my ps4 to spyro the dragon, on my ps3 my fav game is the godfather 2, killing people is so much fun (not that i do that in reality) i do complete the missions aswell

There were lots of cassette games for just £1.99 each too, I remember how a lot of the £9.99 ones seemed as though they were better quality games (but not necessarily more fun) and would usually come in bigger black plastic cases unless that's just some false memory.
Games on cartridge for the 800XL were something like £30 each, which seemed really expensive, they weren't that common either as most games in the shops for the 800XL were on disk and cassette, so having one of the cartridges seemed like something really special.

Games coming on cassette, do you remember when they were installed the stripes around the edges of the screen and the noise it made😊

I have the ps5 , play it on a big screen tv, always been a gamer, started on the zx spectrum, yep the rubber keyed terror..lol, went through to the commodore 64, still got the master system and mega on sega, all the playstation systems, xbox, xbox360 and nintendo, been playing fallout 76 for years, love the game, been playing 1st descendant for a little while, love ultimate Blair, great character to play.. I think Assassins Creed the Ezio story was my all time fav series…

You can get them for a lot cheaper on ebay, but I think now because they're so old (even the newest ones are very old now) that it's difficult to find one that works properly, unless I had just been really unlucky when buying them.
The one that I use I bought from the British Heart Foundation for only £5 around 10 years ago, luckily it still works perfectly.

Here's a pic of my set up. Does anyone have any pics of theirs?

I've always enjoyed the sounds of games loading for some reason. At least a couple of tapes for the 800XL had music on them as well as the game data, so when they loaded you could hear the music on them which I found pretty amazing at the time.

I'm finishing off Horizon Zero Dawn, and trying to 100% a couple of platformers, all on PS4. On Switch I'm playing Zelda Breath of the Wild. :)

I play primarily sport games such as F1-2025, EA Sports FC25 and Forza Horizon 5 all on the PS5.

I recently put the internals of a PS2 Slim inside a clear orange shell, I really like the way it looks and the clear orange makes the green led look yellow when it's on.

Have you started randomly growling "boy" at everything yet @Wheeled_Weapon ?😆
Oh that looks fab @Ross1975 nice work!
I'm still playing Clair Obscur; Expedition 33 (Up to act 3 now) Dune Awakening and I'm about to start Red Dead Redemption 2 as I obviously have way too much free time. 😅1 -
Oh boo! I adored the last GoW game @Wheeled_Weapon. I found it a load more accessible too.
I totally understand that feeling. My love for gaming ebbs and flows, but the older I get, the less time I want to give to gaming. But sometimes a game just grabs me and doesnt want to let go.😆0 -
I've just started playing Chessmaster for the PS2 to learn how to play chess again as I've forgotten.

Really enjoy the The Sims (espcially sims 2!)
