Hello everyone, I stumbled across this place through utter desperation due to suicidal thoughts which are, at the moment, being fuelled by how little my employer is doing to help me and how much they are doing to place obstacles in my way. Has anyone else had problems with their employers that may sound similar to mine?

    Hi @fandrew617

Welcome my friend it’s great to meet you today.

Yes I had similar problems a few years ago now.

I had to take early retirement in the end as things got worse & worse.

Please please let me know if I can help you further????

Hi @steve51 thank you so much for responding to my post. Can I ask what line of work you were in and how the retirement process went for you. I’m sorry to hear that this is the line you had to go down.

    Hi @fandrew617

    Thats fine my friend.

Strangley I worked at one of my former rehab centres following my Stroke.

I did work there for over 10yrs.

Due to my chronic pain I have ended in using a mobility scooter.

I workied in an office on the 2nd floor.

They put in a office on the ground floor with my manager.

Not great as I was having to have my work brought down to me.

Due to my”Brain Damage” I ended up making two many mistakes.

I was pleased when I did leave in the end as it was effecting my “mental state”

    As for my “retirement”

I grabbed the “Bull by the Hornes”

I ended up doing this myself
as I could see more problems ahead.

    Thanks.

@steve51 it sounds like you’ve been through so much and yet you still seem to have your positivity with you. I’m happy to hear that your employer made relevant alterations to help you get back to work but it’s unfortunate that it couldn’t have worked in your favour. I hope you really are grabbing the bull by the horns during your retirement, life’s too short as it is.
