    Hello @AnneOfGreenGables and welcome to the Scope community. Very glad you have joined us, and I had to respond to your post as soon as I saw it because of your username. I'm just reading through all the novels of Lucy Maud Montgomery, of which Anne Of Green Gables was the first in the collection. Not quite sure how she's got such a grip on me but I have great difficulty putting my Kindle away when I'm reading her. Do I take it that you, too, are a fan?

    I'm just returning to the forum after a long absence myself, largely because of depression, but I'm glad to be here again.

    Your post "Hello?" suggests to me that - like many others - you understandably thought the forum was a 'live chat' area like Facebook or FB Messenger. Manned/Personned by volunteers, members and a limited number of staff, people tend not to be around all the time, so it can sometimes be a little while before somebody responds to a post. Sorry if you were kept waiting :smile:

    @Sam_Scope 's advice is spot on, in that if you look through the category list she has linked you to you should find posts related to your own particular issue where you can choose to start a new post or comment on an existing one that is closely related to your own. We do have specialist advisors who will respond ably to specific issues and they're a fine bunch of people.

    If there is any individual you particularly want to respond to or speak to, putting in their user ID in the format @... (Like @Sam_Scope or @JennysDad) will usually ensure that they get to see your post.

    Hope some of that helps. Welcome again to the community and warmest best wishes to you,

    @JennysDad

    Hi there, thanks ever so much for your post. Yes, I'm a huge fan of Anne of Green Gables. I love her ability to really 'see' people and she's also feisty. It's good to 'meet' another fan  :) As for my situation, I need help with HB in relation to the ESA support component. I tried looking for the correct forum to post but all I saw was 'post now closed' or something to that effect. I have Dissociation Amnesia so I sometimes struggle with knowing how to do things. Perhaps you could guide me as to how I post in a HB forum please. Thank you.

    Hi @AnneOfGreenGables
    and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I've been away and haven't got all my systems set up yet, so the site didn't tell me you had replied and I just found your response.

    I hope some of the following helps - if not, don't hesitate to be in touch with me again, ideally using the @JennysDad tag :)

    This area is about benefits in general: https://www.scope.org.uk/support/disabled-people/benefits/housing

    This second one is a category discussing, among other things, ESA
    https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/benefits-and-finances and is one place you could post your query. The top post is marked 'closed' but, as sometimes happens, it just means it is closed to replies and is intended only as a reading/information resource.

    A quick Google search tells me that Dissociative Amnesia is considered a mental health issue, so you might like to have a look at the mental health category https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/mental-health-issues
    and perhaps post there.

    Whatever you do, please don't worry about posting 'in the wrong place' :smile: You'll find that posts in categories tend to be quite a 'mixed bag' anyway, and if a post does turn up in the wrong place Admin will move it to the right one soon enough. Please, please don't hesitate to ask any questions or to chat.

    Flitting back to Lucy Maud Montgomery for a moment, I've read the Anne of Green Gables trilogy (?) and several other books in my Kindle volume. I have a Canadian correspondent who has referred several times to Prince Edward Island and now I wish more than anything that I could get there and have a look at it. It sounds absolutely dreamy :smile:  I notice that cats feature warmly in all her stories, which is charming, and I envy her her knowledge of plant and animal life. Her descriptions of colour, landscape, sky and ocean are quite awesome.

    For now I must sign off, but I will be around. Take good care of yourself.

    @JennysDad
