Hi there, my name is Vicky and I am a third year university student.
As part of my dissertation I have decided to look at the ways in which "gyms" (mainstream, not specialised) either inhibit, or promote, exercise for those with disabilities.
I appreciate your time with this and if anyone would like to take part in an interview or complete a questionnaire, I would be very grateful. I am interested in the topic as my friend who has a disability kept saying how bad the gyms were for making him feel included i.e. lack of fully functioning equipment and even other factors like feeling isolated and like he didn't belong there because he felt judged (social model).
Please do get in contact If you wouldn't mind taking part - many thanks in advance!
my email is up860618@myport.ac.uk
best wishes,
Vicky

Hi @vickyroxanne, do you have a link to the questionnaire you could post here rather than our members needing to email?Community Manager

Hi all,
As part of my third year dissertation project, I am undertaking some research to find out how gyms either promote or include people with disabilities in a gym. If you could complete my questionnaire, that would be fantastic! and will really help for my project.
I have inserted the link for this below, feel free to take part - everything is anonymous. If you also have anyone else you would know who could take part in this, please feel free to share.
Regards,
Vicky
