Hello Everyone 👋 I have recently been diagnosed with FND

mariebug02

Hello I'm new here! I would like to introduce myself. I have recently been diagnosed with Functional neurological disorder (FND) and would like to find out more about how the condition affects others, with treatments, and symptoms x

Hello there @mariebug02, I hope you are well this morning.

I just wanted to wish you a warm welcome to the community, it's lovely to see you join us and I look forward to hopefully seeing you get involved around the community.

Thank you for introducing yourself and for telling us about your FND. You might find it useful to search for the condition using our search function, which you can access from the top right menu bar on a computer. With that, you can find other discussions that relate to your condition.

Are you in contact with your GP or medical team about how you can manage and treat your FND? Also, I found this organisation, FND Hope UK, which might be useful for you to check out as well.

That's no problem, it's a pleasure to have you aboard. How is your Thursday going?

Hello @mariebug02 - welcome to the community from me also. As well as the links above, we have a member with FND who writes a blog about it. Perhaps you'd like to take a look: https://hannahshope.co.uk/what-is-fnd/ There's also this charity: https://www.fndaction.org.uk/

I hope you find other posts here by our members useful too.
