LCWRA and part time working

So I have had limited capability for work and work related activity for years now.

I have even offered an opportunity to write from home and receive an earning, and I have just sent a journal and updated my circumstances

However I am now ridden with anxiety and panicking at the possibility of being reassessed due to this change.

I'm only able to do this because it's from home, anything else absolutely not.

I'm also worried about how this would affect my earnings as I'm already struggling day to day financially. I read about the work allowance but when I call the line nobody seems to understand.

My son has LCWRA and writes at home. He writes fan fiction and gets paid through Patreon. UC are fine with this. He has been doing it for over a year now, he just has to report his income monthly. It does reduce his UC somewhat especially now we are getting help with housing but without it I doubt we would have passed referencing for our new tenancy. It has been so good for his mental health too:)

I receive LCWRA and work from home! I work full time and receive a small top up each month which goes towards my medical needs. The GOV webpage has information about what happens with your earnings when you start working, but to pop something here;

For every £1 you earn from working, your Universal Credit payment goes down by 55p. Your income will be your wages plus your new Universal Credit payment.
Use a benefits calculator to see how your Universal Credit changes if your wages go up.
Most employers will report your wages for you. You will normally only need to report monthly earnings if you’re self-employed.

Thank you So I have recieved a text about a phone call this week. Is this normal ?

@Engage76 Yes it can be. I can't say what your phone call could be about. I would assume just to verify your changes, but it could be anything. I had a call once as my last name had been spelt wrong on different forms and they wanted to check!

Then the phone call will be regarding that. As self employed you will be expected to report your earnings and expenses on the last day of each assessment period.
