When will I hear about my PIP renewal?

Hi all, I hope you can help me.
I have had DLA since injuries on duty in 2000, I was given a DLA award for Life which was then changed to PiP and this is my 3rd or 4th renewal of my PiP each being approx 3yrs each time.
I sent my renewal forms to the DWP in Nov 2020 and I then received a message in Feb 2021 saying "We've received the written report of your PiP and we will write to you with the decision once made. As a guide, you should hear in approx 8 weeks"
That was '46 Weeks ago' surely I should hear some decision soon? I do not want to be pushy and possibly risk issues with my decision as such, but surely this is too long.
I have a mobility car lease that has been extended until Feb 23 I believe my actual PiP expires 05 Jan 23 (Next Month) I also need to think about a new vehicle but can not order until my decision is made (I have multiple Spinal injuries and need it to get about)
Any ideas of what I should be doing now would be welcome.
Regards
JL

November 2020? Phone them. That is an extortionate amount of time to wait.1

That does seem an unreasonable amount of time to wait @Jon450XD! Would you feel comfortable calling them to check what's been going on?0

I could be wrong of course but my first thoughts were, could a decision have been made on your award stayed the same and you just didn't receive the decision letter? The only way to find out will be to ring PIP and ask.0

Best time to ring is as soon as they open at 9am.
