Hi there to everyone. I asked the question a week or so ago about response time following my application for Attendance Allowance. I should have explained things a little better. First of all i am not in receipt of any benefit at all, the only money's i receive are my state pension and my occupational pension. I made an application for A A around the 2nd of November , i later had a text from DWP telling me i should receive decision letter within 8 weeks. My question was, is this timescale normal and as i have now reached the 8 week mark should i be chasing my application. I would simply like some friendly and constructive advice. Thank in advance for any reply.

There are backlogs with AA application decision times so it can take 3 months. Add onto that the Christmas holidays and closing days so it could take longer than 3 months. Nothing more you can do but wait for the decision.
