Today I eventually managed to get through to the DLA call centre after 1.2hrs and 5 th time round.
They looked at my papers and a woman realised that I had just over 1month before everything runs out. She passed me onto a case leader.
I spoke to a very polite and helpful chap called Joshua. To say he helped me and allayed my fears and stated he would deal with my case today and apologised for delays.
So eventually all sorted I hope I am due to get a letter within a week. Complete opposite to what many had here I believe.

Some may be valid gripes, but some are caused by not completing the application form correctly or in time, the latter of which I would suggest is more frequent than the former.2 -
I agree with you. As a former police officer I had so much **** I am always polite dealing with people in these jobs and I am sure they appreciate it.2
