Hi  I wanted to ask about disability premiums for income support. Is it added on to your usual IS amount?

    The disability premium of £36.20 single person or £51.60 couples is automatically added to your IS. Do you live alone or with other adults?
    Is it a daily living award you have and what is that award please?

    I claim as a couple
    I have been awarded standard rate daily and mobility pip.

    That means you'll be entitled to the couples rate of £51.60. No entitlement to any other disability premium unless your partner is also claiming either daily living PIP or DLA mid/high rate care their self or they are registered blind.
    This disability premium should be paid from the start of your PIP award.

    Does your partner have any income of their own? Do they receive disability benefit?
