Should mum have the disablity premium too?
Looking at her letter today I realised its missing could be missing for few years. I just want to make sure mum isn't missing payments. Thank you

If she has only been claiming since 2019 or 2020 then she is on new style ESA and there are no premiums with this.Depending on her circumstances (together with her partner if she has one) she may be entitled to some Universal Credit as a top up.
If she lives alone, based on the information you gave, and provided she is not excluded by savings/capital over £16,000 she will be eligible for UC. It would include standard allowance and the LCWRA element (because she is in ESA Support Group) plus help with rent if applicable, she may also be eligible for Council Tax Reduction from her local authority (rules vary between local authorities).0 -
Thank you for your response She started early 20180

So nearly 5 years ago, not 3!disabledmom said:Thank you for your response She started early 2018She is likely to be on new style ESA but from memory it,Amy be possible she is on the old ESA. You need to look at her letters so you are clear what she is getting. If on the old ESA then premiums would apply and she shouldn’t apply for UC (unless she needs help with rent).0
