Hi Iv put claim in for my daughter for pip she was on dla and as she turned 16 was asked to apply for pip for her, I’m waiting for decision still and I wanted to know if she will be back dated for pip from when put claim in.she has been receiving dla while waiting for claim decision but from looking at her scores from report it seems she would get higher amount on pip than dla so I’m confused if she will be back payed from claim submitted for pip

Unfortunately not, even if the PIP award is higher than the DLA. Thise transfering from DLA will not be owed any money, it's the law.If successfully awarded her PIP will start about 7 weeks after the decision is made. You will receive 1 final payment of DLA before the PIP payment.0
