I'm 3 weeks away from reaching retirement age. Would this have anything to do with the long wait?

Hello I’m at the moment waiting to here about my pip review it’s nine months at the moment. However I’m three weeks away from reaching retirement age would this have anything to do with the long wait  , what do I need to do .

    Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about the delay with the decision of your review. There are very long delays in a lot of areas and some are waiting more than 1 year for a decision. Your current award will continue until a decision is made on your claim, even when you reach state pension age.
    Reaching state pension age has nothing to do with the delay you're experiencing, it will be because of backlogs. They've been concentrating on new claims for more than 2 years.
