Daily Chronic Tiredness

Hello

My question is this. Can you use daily chronic fatigue within the mental health descriptors for a renewal of an esa award. After being diagnosed with primary biliary cholangitis I find I am becoming increasingly more tired every single day and it usually happens just after dinnertime. It's like a brain fog suddenly descends and all I can do is go and lie down and rest. The tinnitus and hearing loss doesn,t help either.

I was thinking maybe the understanding and focus activities.

Any advice greatly appreciated, Thanks

Chronic fatigue will come under physical conditions rather than mental health. You will need to have a look at the descriptors to see which one you think applies to you. If you’re in the Support Group now and you know which descriptor got you there, if that still applies then concentrate on that.

Hi poppy, thanks for answering. The first time I applied was for tinnitus and hearing loss. I do not know the reason why the DWP put me in the support group as they changed their mind before it actually got to the appeal hearing.

I can fully relate to you there some days I'm tired all day but on an evening I seem to wake up how do you manage it?

I'm learning about it all the time. Only just got diagnosed with it in dec but apparantly my blood tests have been off for over 6 years. The bone pain in both hands and arms was the worst but now it's the fatigue, made even worse if I do too much.

For any review in the future it's important to remember that you're not in the Support Group because of any diagnosis, it will depend on how your conditions affect you. When filling out the forms you should always include all your conditions and how you're affected.

Though reviews are still currently suspended so it could be quite sometime before you receive any further forms.
