Hi I've put my review forms in ages ago and had a letter last week saying my pip has been extended till Oct 2 23 but just received this text,

This is for information purposes only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the available evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to have a consultation with you. You can find information about the service we provide at https://mypipassessment.co.uk. You do not need to contact us.

Can anyone tell what this means in layman's terms,rubbish with all this stuff,

It means that Independent Assessment Services have your file so you may need an assessment, for your PIP review. (most have them) once an appointment becomes available you'll be contacted.

Hi poppy,thanks for the reply,I hate all this pip stuff,do you no once you've received this text an appointment will be fairly soon or is it just a waiting game?

It’s still a waiting game I’m afraid. There’s long delays with reviews and has been for a long time.

You're not alone in feeling more anxious while waiting, it's perfectly normal. The good news is your existing award does continue while you wait for the decision. Though i know that doesn't really help the anxiety.

Yes that's true,thanks Ada,do you no if my pip gets stopped that I can appeal and go to a tribunal?I won my first award at a tribunal..

Any decision can be challenged. You’ve been through the process before so the process will be the same again, MR first then Tribunal.
If refused any current award will end.

I've just received the same text message. Hoping this meant get an answer and sorted quickly now, but looks like another waiting game. Have you heard anything yet?

Can I ask, have you had a face to face appointment before? I did with my last one and just wondered are they all face to face appointments once you've had one, or do they look back at your file to see if youve ever had one. Hoping to put this to bed.

The type of assessment you have had before has no bearing on the type of assessment next time.

Hi presario05,yes I had another text a few days ago,they are going to phone me on the 1st of March for a assessment over the phone,I am stressed out about it but at least its over the phone so I don't have to go out,helps with my anxiety

Brilliant news in one respect at least your getting sorted. Can I ask how they booked that appointment with you? By letter or text? As I work, I struggle with reception in building I work in,my mobile doesn't pick up until I go on breaks.

How did it go, what type of questions did they ask,just like the form ones? We're they on phone long?
I've heard nothing yet.

Hi I had the phone appointment yesterday,had my key worker with me wich was a great help,it took a out an hour,they asked all sorts of questions like how I manage my prescriptions,how often I shower and do I cook and eat often,how often I wash and change my clothes,all very personal stuff so be prepared

Also will be 6-8 weeks for a decision so another waiting game
