I'm new on here, any advice would be gratefully received. I started with PIP journey March 2022, and went to tribunal August 2022, I am still waiting to hear from the courts. I have severe OA in my hips, unfortunately I had dodgy hips when I was born and after carrying twins and living a normal life it has caught up with me. PIP don't seem to care that I cannot take one step without awful pain or manage sleep at night. Is there anyone else who has a similar story to mine that has won, I feel so deflated and defeated by the whole situation.

Hello @AmandaM
Welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry you ate in awful pain. Please don't feel deflated, we will help as much as we can.
I've actually popped your post in our PIP, DLA and AA section of the forum, as it's not my area of expertise and hopefully more people will be able to see to help with that
With the medical side to your query, if it's ok to ask, do you have good support from your GP?

Hi and welcome to the community
That's a very long time to wait for tribunal decision they normally only take few days have you chased it up at all. Was it adjourned at all0 -
Hi Hannah and Janer, yes I have a letter from my GP saying I can't sleep, or walk, stand without pain. I actually emailed the Tribunal service yesterday hoping they would let me know how long it would be. I am in regular contact with my consultant, I'm 50, and have never claimed for anything in my life until now. He has put me on the waiting list. I even gave PIP my xrays with the results!0

Hi @AmandaM I'm glad to hear you have that support from the medical side
Hoping something comes through that will help with the pain 🤞 0 -

If so then it's not unusual to be waiting several months, sometimes longer. Are you either appearing in person or having a telephone hearing?

Sorry think I mis understood I thought you had already had your tribunal hearing and waiting for decision
As poppy states you can wait a while to get a gearing date0 -
I have been put into the Support Group for ESA should I let PIP and the Tribunal know this?0

If you have a copy of the assessment report for your ESA assessment then you can send this but please be aware that they are different benefits, with different criteria. Being entitled to one doesn't automatically entitle you to the other.
