Attended Assessment today as support for my friend who has chronic OCD and other conditions. I think she did as well as could possibly be expected of her, or anyone come to that. Lady seemed OK but I know from this site you never can tell. We asked if we could record the session, they allowed this but told us we cannot use it for MR or tribunals so what is the purpose of the recording? One other thing my friend is getting DLA for loss of use of her hand. Today was a new claim because she failed to get DLA for PIP last time. Unlike this time she was not properly prepared. We started this claim October last year so will it be backdated if she succeeds. It is not a straight move from DLA to PIP

Hi there @sunlight and welcome to the community
I'm sure your friend really appreciated your support, do let us know how things go.
Often the process of claiming benefits can take a long time, and be quite stressful, so please reach out if you need any support or have any questions.
I look forward to seeing you around the community soon!0 -
Thank you so much Alex. Hope I have got that right and that is how the names work! That is very kind of you. I will let you know.0

That's quite alright, to tag someone in a response, you need to type '@' and then the username, and it should pop up for you. @sunlight
I hope that helps0 -
