Hi all in December I was awarded a higher award for daily living and backdated and then I’ve asked for mandatory reconsideration on the mobility side in particular following a journey unaided what happens to my pip money that I was already getting ? I’ve had one payment in January will my feb payment be paid or withheld in part being the lower award I had already in place for years? Or will I get paid nothing whilst this is being considered I filled the form in on the phone and I don’t recall her saying anything about the meantime ! Any advice welcome thanks x

Your existing award (which now includes higher rate DL) continues until the MR decision is made. The most likely MR result is no change but you can then appeal to the tribunal service if you wish. The PIP award that is in place after the MR will be paid while waiting for the tribunal.1

Or do the payments stop altogether whilst the decision is made ? X0

You will receive your new award while you wait for the decision, as Calcotti advised.calcotti said:Your existing award (which now includes higher rate DL) continues until the MR decision is made.
