LCWRA payment advice needed

Hello, I had my WCA result on Friday (March 3rd) and have been awarded LCWRA. I also had a telephone appointment booked for today Monday (6th) with my work coach and she said to me not everyone gets the LCWRA element of Universal Credit. Does this mean I may not be entitled to any extra money? I am single and my son of 27 lives with me. I have been handing in sick notes since September 2022. I am worried now that I won’t get the LCWRA payment.

She's correct not everyone is found to have LCWRA. As you have been then you will be entitled to the extra money, assuming you're not living with a partner that already receives this element on your claim. There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. Providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them without any gaps until a decison was made on your WCA.Without knowing the exact date you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note and what date you usually receive your money each month it's not possible to tell you when it's paid from exactly.based on the limited information you gave then your first payment will be either Jan or Feb 2023.0

Hi, Thanks for answering my question. My first sick note went in on 08/09/22 and I get my universal credit on the 18th of every month so my next universal payment is on March 18th. Do you think I might get the LCWRA payment then or is it too early? I don’t have a partner, my son who is 27 lives with me.0

Thanks. This means your waiting period will be Sept to Dec 2022.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 12th Dec to 11th Jan and first payment will be Jan 18th 2023. Up to now they owe you 2 months LCWRA element. It often takes quite a few weeks to pay what they owe you. Once your past statements have been recalculated you will receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe you and it will then be paid into your bank. When you receive your statement for this month the LCWRA element should be included but you'll need to check.0
