Hi all ,
Hope everyone is well.
My daughter applied for PIP on the 19.12.22.
She received an unplanned telephone call on Monday 6.3.23.
The caller asked her various questions about her medication, did she attend mainstream school, did she achieve any exam results .
Has she got a driving license .
Does she work and does she go out alone.
The call lasted approximately 15 mins.
She received a text the next day to confirm DWP have received the assessment back.
I am unsure how this can be classed as a full assessment and wonder if it is a paper based assessment , meaning the result will probably not be in her favour .

Sometimes they ring to ask some questions to see if they can write the report without needing a full assessment. When they do this they won't send an appointment date out they will just ring.Seems like she had a paper based assessment. It certainly doesn't mean she'll be refused. It means they had enough of information to write the report and an assessment wasn't needed. Now the report has been returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks.1

Hi Poppy thankyou for your response .
Great name by the way, same as my daughters!☺️I think my daughter is not hopeful as she has seen videos posted detailing if you an unannounced brief call, this is usually a bad sign .😞0 -

UPDATE
Hi all just wanted to update you on my daughters first claim for PIP for ADHD.
She has been awarded the daily living allowance .
I was notified by text a week after the assessment .
Please do not always take optima of short telephone assessments being a bad sign as my daughters call was only 10-15 long.0 -
Thanks for your update @jillpointon. How are you and your daughter both feeling about this result at the moment?0

I'm glad to hear you've had an award for standard daily living allowance @jillpointon that must be a relief for you and Poppy (your daughter!)0
