Hi, I've had a letter from uc telling me I'm owed £354 from 14th jan to 15th Feb as ive only just received lcwra this month however it states on my decision letter that I should get backpayed from 3 months after I provided my first sick note and I provided my first one on 22nd September 2022 so I should be owed nearly 3 months of Backpay not 1 month, I don't know why this has happened

Any arrears will be paid separately and you will be told how much after they have carried out the calculation.1

I think they have done a calculation of £354 but they have only stated 14th Jan to 15th Feb,they havent stated December , November or October1

Looking at the detail again. If you reported your health on 22nd September then three months take you to 22nd December. The first period in which the LCWRA is payable is for the first full assessment period after then is from 14th January to 13th February. No LCWRA is payable before that period.1

That makes sense now I've missed calculated it,but what about 22nd December to 22nd January? That's the 4th assessment period , they've only paid me from 14th Jan to 14th Feb but they haven't calculated December to January1

When you say assessment period, does that mean one month.?
Many thanks.1 -

Many thanks.
Assessment periods last for 30 days for UC and start on the first day of your claim. For example, if you claimed UC today then your assessment period would be 23rd to 22nd of each month. You then receive your payment 7 days lateron 29th of each month.
