Hi,
I have a Daughter who just turned 3 in January. Her speech is ok but just wanted to know if there’s anyone with SALT experience that could observe a video and advise if her speech is typical for her age please?
thanks a very anxious Mammy

Hi @v82. A warm welcome from me. You would have to identify speech and language therapists in your area, I am afraid.
Identifying if speech is typical for her age would likely happen over a journey, with different sounds and situations and in cooperation with other professionals (e.g., teachers and GP).
I can hear you are feeling very anxious at the moment though. Would anything in particular help, for example, would it help to talk about your concerns further?0 -
Hi @v82 and a warm welcome to our online community, how are you doing?
I understand the worries around young children's development as I have a toddler myself who is a little delayed at hitting some of those milestones. You mention that you're anxious and would like someone with Speech and Language Therapy experience to take a look at a video of her speaking; unfortunately this isn't something we could facilitate on the online community. But if you have concerns, don't be scared of speaking with your GP or any of the staff at your daughter's nursery if she attends.
Has anything happened in particular to make you feel stressed about her speech? Please let us know and we'll do our best to support you through it
Take care and wishing you both a fab Easter time.0
