Does anyone else think hidden disabilities are important?0

A lot of my disabilities are hidden ones .0

I'm glad to hear that learning about hidden disabilities has helped put your mind at rest @Strawberry1. It can be validating to understand that the challenges you face are recognised and that you are not alone in experiencing them.
Understanding that you have a hidden disability can be a powerful step towards self-advocacy and seeking the support and accommodations you need. It's important to remember that you have the right to ask for accommodations and support, and that doing so can make a significant difference in how you live your life.

@Adrian_Scope , you time and replies are really appreciated. I just never realised how many invisible disabilities there was . One of the issues I have is ulcerative colitis but I never realised it was a hidden one . Apologies for my late reply. Hope you are well. Thanks again. Take care.0

I have quite a few invisible/hidden disabilities myself @Strawberry1 and I would say they are just as important, if not more important, than the invisible disabilities.
How are you coping with everything at the moment, particularly with ulcerative colitis? It can be confusing that it is 'invisible' but it is generally unseen.
We are always here for you and listening to you if you would like to talk about this further or need any help0 -

I haven't been around much due to my colitis flaring up a bit again.0

Sorry to hear you are flaring again @Strawberry1 Have you spoken to your IBD nurse or consultant?0

Hello @Hannah_Scope , apologies for my late reply . I hope you are well . I have an appointment soon to see the specialist. It sounds silly but I don't like to call them before my appointment is due . I also get worried about telling them . I'm just one big worrier. That probably doesn't help . I've taken some painkillers today which seem to have taken the pain off for now . I will tell them at my appointment about it keep occurring. Sorry about this long answer . I really hope you are well . Please take care of yourself. Thank you so much for your time.0
