Working on LCWRA

Hi,
I am on LCWRA, and have been since just before the pandemic. My health is unlikely to improve, and I was awarded it because I can't mobilise without my carer's help, which is still true.
I've been writing as a hobby for years and recently started writing a game, for which I'd like to start a Patreon to earn some money from it before it's completed, as it'll take years to be fully released (and people keep offering me their money for some reason). Everything I do is from my bed; I can do it all without even sitting up, so it doesn't even come close to contradicting my LCWRA, and from what I can gather, that's what technically matters.
I probably won't even be earning minimum wage if I were to do this, but since it's the only way I could technically work, I would like to do it. I know I should be entitled to earn around £573 a month as I am a single person with no housing costs, but I am obviously hesitant.
I am on the enhanced level of PIP (daily living and mobility), and according to this, I can be accepted as having LCWRA if I have PIP, even if I do work, but I wanted to triple-check before speaking with someone from UC and actually doing it.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @chantelle2001 - & welcome to the community. As you've correctly identified, it doesn't sound like the work you intend doing would contradict the reason you have LCWRA, & also the work allowance is £573 a month for yourself. If you were to earn more than this then for each £1 over your work allowance then it's now 55p that would be deducted. You would need to keep a record of your self employment, & enter details monthly on your journal. Hoping your enterprise continues to do well.0
