Hi @and15 and thanks for reaching out
Did you have anywhere in mind for a holiday?
In terms of your daughters ASD needs, what would be your main things to think about in a holiday scenario?0 -
Hi Alex
I am thinking abroad somewhere but I need to consider her sensory needs, her attachment issues and change to routine

Hello @and15 Oh that would be lovely!
Hopefully somewhere with some sun.
I did a little research and found some great guidance on the National Autistic Society website and an article in The Times with tips from a parent of an autistic child. I hope these help1 -
Thank you so much1

It is also worth considering what disability facilities are available on the holiday @and15. For example, theme parks and Disneyland have shorter queues and other things that might be helpful.
What usually helps your daughter with her sensory needs, attachment issues and change to routine? It might be worth considering how many of these strategies can be applied here too.
Similarly, can you go at a quieter time, to a quieter place or manage your time so you avoid peek sensory difficulties?
We are happy to discuss this further with you if you wish to. Hopefully, you can enjoy your holiday. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you1
