Were you claiming UC when you received the £10k? Holiday payment and your months earnings will affect your UC in the month it's received. Redunancy is classed as capital, not earnings. If your total savings from the redunancy were more than £6,000 then you would have needed to report it. Paying off debt is allowed when claiming UC but you should still have reported the savings. If you didn't then this maybe why they are asking for bank statements.

I was claiming new style js when i was redundant and rent through UC but didnt get rent paid until the feb as my employer put payments through hrmc seperate for some reason

I owed debt and my brother money he leant me previous which was in through me bank after that it left me with about 5k which i now have 2.5 left

When uc rang me i told them all this back in april now they want bank statements from august

Will this affect my benefits and my PIP its been such a nightmare this whole thing my PTSD has been triggered again as im down the rabbit hole over thinking and getting advice

No sleep again i had no idea any of this would affect my benefit i wasnt even in a right state of mind through all this

Your PIP won't be affected because it's not means tested. Your employer reporting your earnings to HMRC was correct. Did you receive earnings while you were claiming JSA?

No no earnings while on new style jsa didnt get my 1st payment for that till november and finished work in october with all pay etc up to date end of october i was advised to claim new style jsa and uc for the rent side while on njsa i was on for 6 months then from then onwards uc and PIp and LCWRA as new style told me to close claim when receiving LCWRA which i did then UC kicked in after that only part uc paid since jan was the rent side of uc

Then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. You will need to send what they've asked for though.

Your rent will be part of your UC entitlement so this meant your UC payments started in Jan. You should also consider claiming New style ESA. You won't be financially better off because it's just deducted in full from any UC entitlement.

However, because it's not means tested like UC is then it may come in useful in the future. There's a lot of people that wished they had claimed it but didn't and now they can't. Entitlement will be based on your NI contributions in the previous 2 tax years. You will also receive class 1 NI credits for this, where as UC you'll only receive class 3.
